‘Why am you talking about this, again?’

First reason, because I’ve got nothing better to post.
Secondly, it’s because I’m currently addicted to NDP theme songs.

‘Cause there was this poll about your top 3 NDP songs on the RBKD forum, I decided to watch the theme songs’ MV on Youtube. Was reminded of all the ‘NDP singing sessions’ in KCS. We used to sing lots of NDP songs when NDP was nearing. I mean, it’s been like 6 years of singing Home and Where I Belong etc. you know.

This year’s What Do You See is not as catchy as the old songs, but I think it’s quite special, not the usual ‘I love Singapore’ type. Oh, while finding NDP songs, I realised Home was the theme song for 1998, which is, 11 years old. 2 years younger than me. But till now, it’s still regarded as The Song of Singapore. Quite powerful right? Remembered for 11 years and still counting…

Oh yes, not to mention Reach Out For the Skies by Rui En w/ Taufik. Still remember the P5 inter-class dance competition with 5607 girls. Lost, but not defeated. Enjoying the whole process is what that is important. Back to the song, I think it really is a nice song, partly because of My Idol, partly because of the tune of the song. People can dance to the song, and it’s catchy too. 😀

And yes, I’m so addicted to one of the 2007 theme song, There’s No Place I’d Rather Be.

Again, I have to say, it was great.

We went up the bus at 6.30pm and arrived at 7+pm, at ACJC. Yea, so the first piece was called Bus Stop, which was performed by the ACJC drama elective programme. It is about everything that happens in a bus stop, from missing the bus, to teenage love. There was a part when this flirtatious guy waiting for a bus together with other students. He asked a girl if she wanted a time for a ‘ride’, and doing the MJ ‘classic move’. We all were like ‘OMG’!

Then there was this Foot Binding by SNGS drama programme, and it revolves around the theme of woman’s right. GESS drama club’s Memories/Eclipse was a rather profound (very cheem) piece about life and death. And St Nick’s Remembering Qu Yuan was about Qu Yuan (like DUH). Ramayana – The Tale Retold was kind of funny because they were lip-sync-ing and Kamlesh said it was very different from the original story and she was laughing like some crazy woman after the whole thing.

The last was Animal Farm by ACSian. All the performers wore skin-coloured leotards and it was ‘not very nice to look at’, if you get what I mean. Because I have not read the book, so I didn’t know about the original story. But it was wonderful. If I’m not wrong the story is about power and things like that. In the midst of the performance, one of the light bulbs exploded and I was quite shocked and my heart skipped a beat. The glass fragments were on the floor and they were barefooted. But yet they continued performing as if nothing has happened. I was filled with admiration for their passion and commitment towards their performance.

P/S: I was so worried for their feet, and I kept looking at their expression when they stepped on the fragments. And you know what? They showed no pain.

… I got 2 for my inclined pull-up. It’s not that I don’t have the confidence to get higher score, but I mean, I know myself too well to know that I will definitely flunk my inclined pull-ups. Oh by the way, it’s the lowest among the whole class I think, because no one would actually get lower than me, seriously. I mean, have you ever seen a 13 year-old girl who isn’t too fat get like TWO for inclined pull-up? Actually I thought I would get 3, the passing mark, but unfortunately I didn’t. Oh-so-sad~~~

I got 35cm for my sit and reach which I’m very satisfied with because I got 23cm when I was in P4, 27cm in P5, and 29cm in P6. So I guess it’s not true that one’s flexibility goes down as they grow older because I actually scored more as I grew older.

Gotta have my beauty sleep already, byes~

Okee, I’m officially a Priority Member of RBKD.
